Chapter 672: Farewell-1
Unfortunately, Elise wasn't able to get much sleep. As the number of people increased, the wolves began to feel agitated. They were not used to large crowds so Samuel went over to them and calmed them down.
He decided to first close the exit point and think about how to manage them later. Amanda also came over as she was the only other person that could do that.
" Take her to the room. She would only make things difficult if we wake her up right now."
" Yes." He handed Elise to her. He knew she didn't have enough sleep, it would be good for her to lay down for few more hours.
" Let's get you home." He patted their heads as they looked at Amanda taking Elise away. Even Titan glanced few times despite being annoyed by her presence.
He started escorting them out through back garden and also asked others to follow them. He wanted to find out how they exactly got outside their enclosure. The wolves started running so Samuel had to keep up to their speed.
It was easy for him but people behind him were hard time traversing through the dense forest. After few minutes of tracking them, they saw Samuel and wolf came to a clearing. Samuel said something to them which again made them to run. They were much faster this time.
" Where is he going?" Daniel was puzzled. Their plan was to let them in the same way they transported when they first arrived.
" Who care about that!? We better keep up with them. I didn't know how he is able to keep up with them." Peter said while catching his breath, he was already having a hard time.
" That's why I told you not to bulk up so much. You might be stronger but why you always lose to top guys is because you don't have sufficient speed."
" Urgh." Peter face turned ugly hearing his big brother nag about his weakness. He didn't have any rebuttal because he just lost a fight against Samuel few days ago and the most glaring flaw was he wasn't able to catch up to his speed!
" Sir, there!" One of the guard exclaimed seeing Samuel stop again. They had been running for half an hour along the wall.
" Is this it?" Samuel looked up. It wasn't as he expected, the ten meter impromptu wall was still standing. He leaned down and saw no holes seemed to have dug up too. He decided to scale the wall after a steady run up and skillfully held on to the ledge.
The walls didn't have barbs wires like they did for the outer perimeter, probably because they never thought wolves would be able to jump over it. He pulled himself on top of it and glanced down.
" I see." He could see few broken trees that were cut down to make way for the construction. One of the thick log seemed to make a perfect ramp facing the wall. It was about half the height of the wall but no one seemed to see any problem with it because who would think wolves were intelligent enough to devise a jailbreak?
" Sami?" He heard Daniel call out to him from far.
" Uncle can you come over here."
" Is it fine?"
" One or two people are alright but make sure everyone else stay back." Samuel looked down and said," Don't hurt him alright?" The wolves seemed to understand as they watched Daniel approach.

" Can I come too?" Peter seemed excited but was immediately shut down by Samuel.
" No. It's not good to introduce them to so many people at once." Maybe it was just to spite him but he didn't want him to start getting along with wolves right now. Who would know what his crazy uncle would do if that were to happen? He wanted to maintain his peace as long as possible!
" Just stand there and don't do any rash movements. Let them come to you." Samuel urged Daniel to stop when he saw wolves growling. Most of the people wouldn't be able to stay still being surrounded by a pack of wolves but this was Daniel, the person that taught most of the people on the compound.
If there was an argument to be made it would be who was stronger Arthur or him because they were top two guys everyone looked up to.
The wolves sniffed around and seeing them he was calm and collected, they soon let him be. Samuel urged him to climb the wall too so that he could get a better view of the problem. He made a short dash and climbed up the wall effortlessly.
" So this is how they get in? How do they even know what was on the other side of it?" He said standing beside him.
" Maybe they scaled the wall like us or they remember the roads when they were being transported? Coupled with their superior smell, I don't find it hard for them to find their way through this dense jungle."
" Either way, we have to check the perimeter again for similar structures. Guess we have to work overtime again." Daniel sighed. First it was baby deer now wolves? It was embarrassing for his whole team that even animals were able to find flaws in their security.
" I really can't blame you. If only he was not in so much hurry everyone could have prepared so that things like this wouldn't happen." Samuel glanced back at his uncle who was looking at them with jealousy.
" Just escort them back first. They couldn't possibility go back this way so we have to do it the proper way. They also seem to listen to you so just ask them not to do anything like this in future, at least till we fix everything."
" Who do you think I am? They seem to only follow me but I can't guarantee anything. You saw how mischievous they are barging inside the house in the middle of the night so don't get your hopes up."
" Fine. Do what you can and leave everything to me."
