"This is a difficult choice," Xiaoye said, looking at the unconscious Lin Shen on the ground, pondering. "If we want to save him, we can only use the treasures inside the Ancient God Bottle or the Ancient Gourd. If we are discovered, the consequences would be unthinkable."

"But if he dies, we don't know whose hands he will fall into. Sister, I think though he is of low level, he still has some potential. Maybe he could really help us in the future," Xiaona said, watching Lin Shen.

Xiaoye nodded slightly: "For a low-level creature like him to have such strength is indeed impressive in theory. If it weren't for encountering a talent like Di Esi, he would indeed be a good choice, but..."

"Sister, if you keep hesitating, he's going to die," said Xiaona, clearly leaning towards saving Lin Shen.

"He's not going to die so fast," Xiaoye replied, coldly observing the unconscious Lin Shen and Fei Zai flapping his wings beside him to dispel the mist, musing, "This Fatty has some issues; it must be a Super-Base Creature, and the Base Mutation is very thorough."

"Sister, now is not the time to discuss this, right? Are we going to save him or not?" Xiaona was somewhat speechless; her sister was overly stable emotionally.

"Let's save him, we have no other choice for now," Xiaoye said coldly. "However, we need to study how to save him."

"Can't we just give him a shot of Nirvana Rebirth Serum?" Xiaona was puzzled, not understanding what there was to study about this.

"The Nirvana Rebirth Serum could indeed make him recover immediately, but such a rare treasure, capable of bringing Nirvana Beings back to life, is too wasteful to use just to save him. Moreover, the effects of the Nirvana Rebirth Serum are too strong; he won't be able to absorb it all, and most of the efficacy will remain in his body.

"How is that possible? He is clearly a living person. How can he recover if he's dead?" Xiaona felt her sister might be out of her mind—how do you save someone who is dead?

If a living person truly became a dead person, what were they saving? They might as well just wait for him to die.

Xiaoye said indifferently, "Have you forgotten? He has practiced the 'Greed for Life and Fear of Death Elixir'; he can have the ability to Feign Death."

"But that would only work after his Ascension," Xiaona said and then suddenly her eyes lit up: "Sister, do you want to help him ascend? But we don't have any low-grade things like the Ascension Pill."

Clutching the Ancient Gourd, Xiaona gently said to it, "Ancient Gourd... Ancient Gourd... please give me the Enduring Humiliation Stealing Life Serum..."

After Xiaona's voice fell, the porcelain gourd in her hand actually started shaking on its own, and before long, it spurted out an object from the gourd's mouth.

Xiaona, scrambling, wasn't able to catch it, but Xiaoye reached out her hand and caught the black vial instead.

The black crystal vial was only the size of a finger, filled to the brim with liquid.

Xiaoye, seemingly from out of nowhere, produced a syringe, then inserted it into the crystal vial, drawing all the liquid into the syringe.

"Sister, what is the use of this Enduring Humiliation Stealing Life Serum?" Xiaona asked curiously.

"This is a potion researched by a Realm King before the Ancient Era, mainly made from a Nirvana Being known as the Heaven-Stealing Beast. I remember that one of the Realm King's Imperial Consorts used the Enduring Humiliation Stealing Life Serum to feign death, deceiving the Realm King and then eloping with her lover to the ends of the earth.

Although she was eventually captured and executed, this shows that the serum is quite useful, even the Realm King was deceived," Xiaoye said as she walked over to Lin Shen, squatted down beside him, and directly injected the serum into his comparatively intact buttocks, slowly pushing the liquid in.

"This is good, it can save him and is not easy to detect; sister, you're really smart," Xiaona felt that her sister was incredibly clever.

"Of course, I am," Xiaoye said as if it were a matter of fact, while she removed the empty syringe.

After the serum was injected into Lin Shen's body, his condition suddenly became unusual.

His breathing and heartbeat both stopped completely, and he looked just like a dead man with no signs of life at all.

The vitality that had been wafting around Lin Shen also ceased, and the Mist of Repose no longer clung to him.

"See, isn't he fine now? Let's just wait for him to recover on his own," Xiaoye said as she put away the syringe with a hint of pride on her face.

"Sister, it's impressive how you handle things; I wouldn't have remembered that the Ancient Gourd had such a potion," Xiaona said with an admiring face.

"Alright, let's head back now before we're seen by outsiders," Xiaoye said, then transformed into a Pet Capsule and returned to Lin Shen's backpack on her own.

Xiaona followed suit, turning into a Pet Capsule and rolling back into the backpack as well.

Lin Shen, who had been injected with the Enduring Humiliation Stealing Life Serum, indeed appeared as lifeless as a corpse, no longer having his vitality drawn by the Resting Tree of the Deceased.

However, the serum itself was not as simple as Xiaoye had said; she too knew only half the story.

The Enduring Humiliation Stealing Life Serum indeed had once been used by a Realm King's Imperial Consort as a feign death drug, but it was not principally intended for feigning death. Its true effect was to deceive the Cosmic Law, helping Nirvana Beings to break through the Nirvana Level without being monitored by the Cosmic Law - it was an object with the true power of stealing from heaven.
