Chapter 127: Chapter 127 Dominating Blade Mantis

"The aura of a Black Cloud Leopard. Let's camp here for the night."

After walking for a while, Yun Anuar suddenly stopped and pointed to a spot beside a giant tree, smiling as he spoke.

"Black Cloud Leopards, low Grade Imperial class spirit beasts, are considered quite powerful in this forest. They have a particular trait: they never rest in the same place twice. So, areas where their scent lingers are popular with many adventurers because spirit beasts below the Imperial Grade don't dare come near." Seeing the puzzled look on Blaze Regret's face, Muk Karthik immediately explained.

Upon hearing this, Blaze Regret nodded and made a mental note. He knew that his knowledge of the wilderness was nowhere near as extensive as that of seasoned hunters like Muk Karthik. Members of the spirit hunting group, also known as spirit hunters, were born for this kind of work.

"Hey, you there, go gather some dry branches," Xen Kai commanded, a hint of displeasure flashing across his face as he saw Blaze Regret idling.

With a slight sigh, Blaze Regret found Xen Kai's clownish behavior more amusing than annoying. If it had been anyone else, they would have taught Xen Kai a lesson and had him on the ground in no time.

Scanning the area, Blaze Regret picked up some dry branches from the ground and piled them up. Even Red used its tiny claws to drag a branch over and tossed it onto the pile with great effort, looking rather comical.

"Whoosh!"

In the pitch dark forest, a campfire slowly crackled to life, emitting a bright glow. Red raised its little claws, absorbing the warmth radiating from the fire. Fire type spirit beasts have a natural affinity for flames.

Watching as a few people gradually fell asleep, Blaze Regret sighed softly. He then quietly released the Ice Control Butterfly to keep watch from a tree. Laying a thin cloth on the ground, he cradled Red and slowly drifted into sleep.

Tonight was the first time in his life that he used the sky as his blanket and the earth as his bed.

And this lifestyle would become the norm for the next two years.

In an ancient forest, a group of people carefully made their way, their eyes constantly scanning their surroundings. Above them, towering trees spread countless branches in all directions. Yellowed leaves trembled gently in the breeze before floating down leisurely, forming a thick layer on the ground.

"Roar!"

Suddenly, from the top of a giant tree, a sinister eyed Black Leopard pounced down. Its bloody maw opened wide, bringing with it a gust of foul wind as it aimed for Yun Suhaila's throat.

Sensing the speed of the Black Leopard, Yun Suhaila's face turned pale, and she retreated repeatedly.

At the front of the group, Yun Anuar's eyes flashed slightly. A sharp gust of wind shot out from beside him, instantly tearing the Black Leopard's body apart, spilling warm blood everywhere.

It was a wind elemental spirit beast with wings, resembling a light blue bird. However, atop its head were a pair of scythe like blades that clashed with each other as its wings flapped, producing a constant clattering sound.

The Wind Scythe Bird, a mid level warrior grade spirit beast, had its most lethal weapon in the wind scythes atop its head.

"That scared me to death."

Yun Suhaila, with a hint of fear in her beautiful eyes, exhaled and covered her lightly heaving chest with her jade hand.

The Black Leopard, a type of spirit beast, could change the color of its body to blend with the trees it inhabited, making it unpredictable. Even seasoned spirit hunters could fall prey to it.

"Be more careful."

The Wind Scythe Bird returned to his side as Yun Anuar turned back to remind her before continuing forward.

"Suhaila, are you okay?"

Xen Kai quickly walked over, intending to extend a comforting hand to Yun Suhaila, but she subtly avoided him, making Xen Kai feel slightly embarrassed.

"What are you looking at? If it weren't for us, you would have died in this forest long ago."

Xen Kai, feeling extremely annoyed, clearly took out his frustration on Blaze Regret, pulling a sour face at him as if he had been the one to bring Blaze Regret into the forest.

"Muk Karthik, can I punch him?" Blaze Regret asked, looking helplessly at Xen Kai's back.

"No, don't. He's a third rank warrior Grade, a rank higher than me. Just bear with it, and pretend it's a fly buzzing around," Muk Karthik quickly waved his hand, afraid that Blaze Regret might lose his cool and go after Xen Kai.

Blaze Regret was speechless. If it weren't for his favorable impression of Yun Anuar, he would have already rushed over to give Xen Kai a beating. Being targeted multiple times had made even someone with his patience feel a bit of anger.

Seeing Blaze Regret's silence, Xen Kai thought he was scared and became even more smug.

"Wait!"

Yun Anuar, who was walking at the front, suddenly extended his hand to stop everyone. His eyes narrowed slightly as he said, "Get ready, there's something ahead, and it's not just one."

"Rustle!"

As soon as Yun Anuar's words fell, several black shadows, resembling mantises, suddenly darted out from the trees, their wings flapping as they surrounded the group. Their sharp double blades gleamed menacingly in the sunlight.

"Dominating Blade Mantis?" Muk Karthik's face instantly turned serious. A summoning array appeared, and a tree covered in sharp thorns materialized in the middle of the group.

Muk Karthik's spirit beast, known as the Thorn Tree, was covered in sharp spikes. Any spirit beast that collided with it would suffer greatly.

"Violent Ape!"

At Xen Kai's low shout, a robust brown giant ape stomped heavily on the ground, sending a gust of wind that swept the fallen leaves away.

Yun Suhaila's spirit beast, like Yun Anuar's, was a Wind Scythe Bird, though it was smaller due to being only a third grade.

"Have we entered the Dominating Blade Mantis's territory?"
