Chapter 1373: The Late Reinforcements

From the time the Wanyun Association and the Twin Star Pirates launched their attack, less than half a day had passed. Even so, the Spirit Dawn World lost more than a quarter of its world.

The ferocious offensive by the Twin Star Pirates and Wanyun Association brought extreme pressure onto the experts of the Spirit Dawn World. With Shang Xia’s final blow that broke the world, the final strand of willpower they still had crumbled.

As the Wanyun Association’s Capital Star Ship had been filled with holes from all the damage caused dragged the landmass away from the Spirit Dawn World, both sides that had been locked in combat stopped and left the battlefield tactfully.

The Wanyun Association and Twin Star Pirates achieved their goal and because the reinforcements from the rest of the Essence Ling Heavenly Field might come at any time, along with news that the Essence Ling World’s Martial Emptiness Realm Sage had reappeared, they decided to leave as soon as possible.

Shang Xia had long since realized that the Wanyun Association and the Twin Star Pirates gave it their all as soon as the battle started and they were barely holding on. If they battle dragged out, their exhaustion would be obvious and it wouldn’t go well for them.

The Spirit Dawn World was also afraid of fighting as 3 Elysiums had been destroyed in half a day. They lost 6 True Immortals with 3 others suffering heavy injuries. They knew that there was no point in fighting further as even if the world wasn’t destroyed, it would become far too weak to resist any other invasions. If their supposed reinforcements were to harbor ill intentions...

That was why they didn’t even try to hold the experts of the Wanyun Association and Twin Star Pirates back!

One had to know that the ambush on the Spirit Dusk World back then caused them to suffer too much damage and no one knew how much benefit the reinforcements who came to help them obtained. Even the Spirit Dawn World played a part in plundering the already weak Spirit Dusk World back then and they definitely didn’t want it to happen to themselves.

Rather than losing even more, they might as well cut their losses. They could split up a few of their continents to keep themselves as a Spirit World. That would also allow them to avoid the covetous gaze of their ‘allies’.

Both sides had their concerns and greatly restrained themselves while pulling away from the battle. Of course, as they left, all of them maintained great vigilance.

Shang Xia didn’t leave the giant landmass after separating it from the Spirit Dawn World. He chose to personally stand guard in it in order to prevent any accidents from happening.

When the Wanyun Association’s Capital Star Ship continued to drag the landmass into the vast sea of stars, the other Star Ships they brought also quickly approached. The high-level experts on board prepared to deal with any sudden attacks the experts of the Spirit Dawn World might launch while helping to hasten the speed of their retreat.

The Wanyun Association deployed 1 massive Capital Star Ship for the operation and 6 other supporting Star Ships, but they were only left with the main ship and 3 others. The Twin Star Pirates sent 4 Star Ships to battle and 2 of them were destroyed.

As for the smaller Star Ships the Spirit Arks had been hiding, in order to hold back the Star Ships from the Spirit Dawn World, they sacrificed themselves. Barely anyone on them survived.

The Stargazer of the Twin Star Pirate that had been hiding in the Spirit Dawn World failed to escape.

Of the other pair of second tier True Immortal twins, 1 of them was killed in the chaotic battle. With 1 of them slain, their secret art was greatly weakened. It wasn’t as simple as a mere reduction in half their combat abilities. The remaining expert would barely be able to unleash 30 percent of the strength if he were to work with his twin.

Of the 3 pairs of twins who took part in the battle, only 1 full pair survived. The Twin Star Pirates suffered a huge blow to their overall strength.

Fortunately, the fourth tier True Immortal twins didn’t sustain too heavy injuries. They were the core strength of the Twin Star Pirates and after recuperating, they would be able to strengthen the Twin Star Pirates to reach a whole new level of strength.

Compared to the losses the Twin Star Pirates suffered, the Wanyun Association actually lost a lot more. Other than a third tier Elysium True Immortal they left in their Wanyun Elysium in the Essence Xing World, they sent everyone out. Zhang Shun and Gong Zhuo, their high-level True Immortals, were sent out to do battle along with 6 other True Immortals.

Of them, 2 were killed and 2 suffered heavy injuries. Shen Chongshan, with whom Shang Xia was familiar, was killed in the battle. Of those who were heavily injured, 1 was completely crippled and had no hopes of recovering.

Gong Zhuo looked like he was still able to fight, but any random second tier True Immortal would be able to take him down. He also destroyed at least 2 divine weapons the Wanyun Association owned.

The Spirit Dawn World managed to seal off the damage to the heavenly screen with the help of their True Immortals. They prevented their world origin from leaking further.

As the Wanyun Association and Twin Star Pirates examined the landmass they obtained, they discovered there wasn’t as much world origin as they had thought.

After the experts of both factions made the reports, the True Immortals of the Wanyun Association and Twin Star Pirates quickly discovered the reason. It was probably because Shang Xia was on it.

After expressing their thanks and appreciation for Shang Xia’s contribution, both sides split the landmass among each other before storing the world fragment in their Spirit Arks.

They were able to split it up without much concern as the Spirit Dawn World had already given up on anything and retreated into their world to do damage control.

Also, splitting up the world fragments and storing them in the Spirit Arks was important as dragging them through the streams of chaotic space wasn’t really feasible. Without even mentioning Shang Xia taking charge of it to travel through chaotic space... Even if a True Immortal at the grand completion stage did it, they wouldn’t be able to prevent world origin from leaking while traversing the chaotic streams.

The earlier they split it up and stored it in their Spirit Arks, the safer it would be for either party.

If both sides needed to make their own escape, they wouldn’t lose their portion of the loot to the other side.

Shang Xia saw how the experts on both sides split apart the landmass that was equivalent to 6 continents at the state of perfection. Both sides obtained 3 fragments that were 10,000 miles wide.

The Wanyun Association and Twin Star Pirates didn’t attack any random spot of the Spirit Dawn World. They chose it carefully where all 6 continents in the landmass they had chosen were all in a state of perfection. All of them contained a large amount of world essence of the Spirit Dawn World.

Both sides might have obtained 3 continents each which seemed fair, Shang Xia could see that the Wanyun Association still obtained a better portion of the benefits. At the very least, those they obtained contained the most world origin.

They entered the streams of chaotic space after each other, and they quickly fled from the Essence Ling Heavenly Field.

During the entire process, Shang Xia noticed that the relationship between both sides was no longer as close as before. At the very least, the Twin Star Pirates were trying to pull away to the best of their abilities. Both sides were widening the distance between each other while raising their guards.

Shang Xia didn’t care about any of that. He went to meet Zhang Shun before hearing his praise and returning to the Capital Star Ship. He then paid a visit to Gong Zhun who was recuperating and spoke about their memories of Shen Chongshan who had fallen in battle. Finally, he returned to his cabin to restore his exhausted energy.

After the War of Spirit Dawn World, Shang Xia’s Six Harmony Flawless Rod Technique reached a whole new level. He completed his fifth move, and the efficiency of his absorption energy increased with it. It didn’t take long for him to restore all the energy he expended, but he even managed to increase his cultivation significantly.

It was a shame the chaotic streams around the Spirit Dawn World weren't as strong as the Essence Ling World. It didn’t take long before they arrived at the Azure Geng World they passed before.

As both fleets traveled across the void to leave the Essence Ling Heavenly Field, Shang Xia felt a strong sense of foreboding when they passed an asteroid belt.

Ignoring his cultivation, Shang Xia immediately snapped awake and alerted the experts of the Wanyun Association.

Before they could even leave their cabins, Zhang Shun’s voice boomed in their minds, “The experts of the Essence Ling Heavenly Field are waiting in ambush here! Everyone, prepare for battle!”
