Chapter 46: Kamishiro Crashes My Dungeon Stream
"The day after running into Kamishiro Rion, I was getting ready for a regular stream in Shibuya Dungeon when, for some reason, Kamishiro was waiting for me, eager to jump in."
"Why are you here?"
"I wanted to be in Tsu-kun's stream!"
"...That's fine, I guess, but hasn't the Association said anything to you?"
"They complain every day."
"Sigh..."
Well, of course, they'd have something to say. She's an EX who suddenly said she was going to study abroad in America and took off. Anyone could've guessed that the Association wouldn't just ignore that. She must have been reprimanded, but apparently, she hasn't learned her lesson. Probably the only one who could seriously scold her would be my grandma.
"So, let's start the stream!"
As she turned back to smile at me, she blasted away some lower-level monsters with small fireballs. Kamishiro Rion's magic power is as absurd as ever.
"Uh... I was planning to just stream some regular deep-floor content today..."
: Morning!
: Thanks for streaming so early.
: Loving the summer morning grind.
: What do you mean by 'regular'?
: Streaming deep floors isn't exactly 'normal.'
They're saying all kinds of things, but I'll just ignore most of it. For me, deep-floor dives are normal, but streaming is still a challenge.
"So yeah, I was planning to stream regularly, but... well..."
: Oh? What's up?
: Why so hesitant?
: The introvert side is showing.
: He's back to being one of us.
: One of us.
: Truly, one of us.
"So... an unexpected guest is joining today, and, uh... I'm really not a fan of this person."
"What? Tsu-kun, are you saying you don't like me?"
"That's exactly what I'm saying."
: What!?
: Who is it?
: I don't see anyone on screen.
: Who's Tsu-kun?
: It's a girl!
: Another girl collab?
: You're betraying us.
: We can't let this stand.
Before I could introduce her, Kamishiro popped onto the screen, smiling straight at the camera.
"Hey, everyone! It's me, dungeon explorer idol Kamishiro Rion!"
: What!?
: This stream just became legendary.
: Two EXs on screen is too much information.
: This is the real deal.
: She's done streams before, right? (I think)
: She was missing, wasn't she? Wasn't she in America?
"Hmm, how do I check the comments again?"
"Please just be quiet."
"Wow, harsh!"
: LOL
: LOL
: I think we get the relationship now.
: This is too funny.
: Was his silence during deep-floor streams just to hide how hot his collab partner was?
: Nah, he was just being lazy.
: If she can't even check comments, why is she streaming?
I'm probably going to catch some flak for this, but the stream is blowing up even more than when I collaborated with Asagao. Despite it being early morning—likely during work hours for a lot of people—the viewer count is massive. Well, Kamishiro is famous worldwide, so it makes sense.
"I can't believe Tsu-kun has friends, and even his viewers are so friendly... I'm so happy for you!"
"I don't remember you raising me."
If anything, I remember cleaning up after her messes.
: Are they siblings?
: LOL
: This is a mess.
: Can this stream even keep going like this?
"Can it keep going? Well, this staircase leads to the 68th floor."
: Wait, what?
: You're already on the deep floors?
: LOL
: Just casually strolling to the deep floors.
: Don't play around on the way to the deep floors!
Hey, I'm not the one messing around here. It's Kamishiro. She's always prioritizing her feelings over everything else, acting on impulse without any forethought.
"So this many viewers show up for a deep-floor stream, huh? I had no idea."
"You've streamed deep floors before, haven't you? Oh, never mind."
"Huh? Why?"
: Fair enough.
: She didn't even interact with comments back then.
: Yeah, it was a one-off stream that ended in silence.
: We never even knew what floor she got to.
"What floor was that again?"
"You're so sloppy."
"You already know, don't you?"
"I do, but still."
That's not the point. Just because you know something doesn't mean you should be this sloppy about it.
: What even is this place?
: A desert, obviously.
: What?
: Descended the stairs, and it's a desert now.
: LOL
: Makes no sense.
"Uh... this is the 68th floor."
"It's always so hot here..."
"I'm planning to go up to the 75th floor today."
"Why such a specific number?"
"Apparently, it's the official highest floor reached."
"But I made it to the 80th floor last year."
: What!?
: Stop casually surpassing official records.
: EXs should report how far they go.
: There's no way to verify without proof, so these self-reports mean nothing.
: Isn't that why he's streaming?
"I don't care about breaking records, but it's been years since anyone's pushed past the 75th floor, so I figured I should."
"Huh, neat."
: Show some interest!
: Maybe EXs are why the official records haven't been updated.
: True, that tracks.
: This stream is hilarious in how out of touch it is.
The 75th-floor record was set years ago by an S-rank party. I was planning on tackling it solo, but Kamishiro just tagged along. Given the massive viewer turnout, though, maybe it's not such a bad thing she came along.
"This desert area is pretty long... let's move quickly."
"Why not use Kirin?"
"No way. What's the point of a live stream if we just zip through the desert on Kirin?"
That would be just like every other expedition. There's nothing entertaining about that for viewers.
"Huh, okay."
"It's that lack of awareness that makes you the 'Dungeon Destroyer.'"
"How is that even related?"
: Kisaragi's being even more sarcastic than usual, lol.
: Must be really bad.
: He did say she's a free spirit.
: She definitely fits the description.
"Hey, there's a Sand Fish!"
"Yep, it's coming this way."
Despite the name, Sand Fish refers to schools of fish that swim through the sand. But each fish is as large as a person, making them a serious threat. What's worse, Sand Fish always move in large groups, ranging from 50 to over 100 at a time.
"How many are there?"
"Let's see... looks like about 150?"
"Wow..."
: Don't just say 'wow' like it's nothing.
: 150 is insane.
: That's a nightmare (angry).
: It's the deep floors. What do you expect?
: Desert zones are terrifying.
: Isn't this super dangerous?
"I'll just wipe them out, then."

With a smile, Kamishiro started drawing a massive magic circle, not bothering to consider her surroundings. She specializes in advanced, high-powered magic that nobody else can handle, and her spells are incomparable to mine.
The sand dunes, along with the entire school of Sand Fish, were obliterated in a single, reckless strike, sending a huge cloud of sand into the air. With this level of destruction, I doubt there's anything left alive.
: Yeah, she's an EX after all.
: It's just the way things are.
: Honestly, I'm speechless.
: So this is what an EX is like.
: I wanted to believe Kisaragi was the weird one.
: But nope.
: Monsters really do attract monsters.
: Birds of a feather flock together.
Judging from the comments, everyone seems to think I'm just as bad as Kamishiro. My magic is way cuter compared to hers, though. They should realize that after seeing this.
