Chapter 8: Changes In Space
Chapter 8: Changes In Space
The next day, Yao Ran woke up feeling groggy and very tired.
When the doctor came over to check, he frowned and asked, "Miss, didn't you sleep last night?"
Yao Ran answered, "I went to bed at nine last night."
The doctor looked at the examination results for a while and then said, "You need to stay in the hospital for another day. We should do one more examination and observe your situation before we make our next decision."
Seeing the doctor's frown, Yao Ran asked, "Doctor, is there something wrong with my body?" The doctor handed the examination result to the nurse and replied, "According to your examination results, you just need to have a good rest. The injury you suffered yesterday was not serious, but you lost a lot of blood. I will ask the nurse to prepare a special menu to help you replenish your blood."
Yao Ran nodded and said, "Thank you, doctor."
After completing the check-up, the doctor left the ward with a group of intern doctors. When she was the only one left, Yao Ran rubbed her brows, closed her eyes, and looked into her space.
However, when her consciousness entered her space, she was dumbfounded. To her surprise, the originally ordinary space had undergone tremendous changes. She looked up to see the bright sky and looked down to see the vast expanse of black soil and a lake.
Yao Ran grew up in a farmer's family after being picked up on the roadside by a childless old couple. Although she is not a professional, she still knows enough about agriculture.
Just by looking at it, she knew that the black soil was the highest quality and most fertile soil she had ever seen. From what she could see, the black soil area should be about two acres.
To the left of the farmland, she could see the clear water of the lake. However, when she looked into the water, she couldn't see the bottom. She raised her eyebrows, surprised by the depth of the lake.
After checking the farmland and lake, Yao Ran looked to the right. Unlike the areas around farmland and the lake that are covered in soil, the area on the right is covered in some kind of black metal.
Yao Ran looked at the black metal and confirmed that this was the same material that surrounded her original space. However, unlike her old space, this area has no walls and no roof. It is even several times larger than her small space.
Based on her rough calculation, this area is at least three times the size of a football field. With so much space, Yao Ran didn't know if she had enough money and time to fill it up with supplies.
Furthermore, she does not yet know the maximum height of her space, so the total area available to her becomes uncertain. Yao Ran walked around her own space for a while and then retracted her consciousness out of the space.
Sitting on the hospital bed, she fell into deep thought. After a long time, her eyes flickered. Yao Ran curled her lips and said, with a hint of interest in her voice, "No wonder I never found the place where Lan Guanghui stores the supplies. It turns out that he hid the supplies in the jade pendant. So this is why Lan Lifei can still stay healthy and clean many years after the end of the world."
After learning about the change in space, Yao Ran took her mobile phone and revised the list of supplies she needed to prepare. Yesterday, due to limited space, she did not dare order too many medicines and fuels or list too many types of supplies.
But today, with the upgrade of her space, she felt more confident. She had more place to store the supplies, so she contacted her grandfather's friends and tripled her order for medicine, fuel, and other supplies.
While she was busy doing online shopping, Assistant He sent her a message.
[Miss, the Gu family agrees to your price. The contract will be ready tomorrow. Do you want to meet CEO Gu?]
In her previous life, the Gu family owned a private base and rose to become one of the most powerful forces in the post-apocalyptic world.
It is easy for her to avenge her grandfather and mother, and it is not difficult for her to deal with Lan Guanghui, Chen Meilin, and Lan Lifei. However, she also wants to take revenge on the organization that used her as a human experiment subject.
From their domineering and boldness in doing things, Yao Ran was sure that behind this organization, there was another powerful force supporting them.
If she wanted to fight against that organization, it was best to stay away from the sight of those powerful forces. Who knows if one of them is actually a supporter of the organization? Or, worst of all, they are all connected to the organization and work together.
It would be suicide for her to fight them alone. She needed to take the time to make a plan.
After thinking for a while, Yao Ran replied, [No. All you have to do is send me the contract to sign, and I will leave the rest to you.]n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The next second, a message came from Assistant He. [Understood.]
Since the Gu family was willing to spend forty billion to acquire Yao Group, Yao Ran felt happy and continued to make phone calls.
Early the following day, Assistant He came to the hospital with the contract.
After Yao Ran signed the contract to sell the Yao Group, Assistant He put the contract away
and said, "Miss, I need to go to the headquarters of the Gu Group. Do you need me to call the driver for you?"
Yao Rao shook her head and asked, "What about the other items? Is anyone interested in them?"
