Chapter 580 Escape
Once more, Rain experienced a surge of power, but this time, it was distinct and more reserved. His mana reserves expanded exponentially, surging with a tremendous force that was laser-focused on a singular field—water magic and its many variations.
With this newfound wellspring of power, Rain seized the opportunity to manipulate the thick layer of ice that enveloped the sea dragon. His mastery over water magic and the boost of energy had reached unprecedented levels, and he harnessed this surge to summon a massive construct of ice.
Gigantic blades, formidable in size and sharpness, emerged from the icy layer that encased the sea dragon. These crystalline blades were a clear sign of Rain's mastery of water magic, their edges gleaming with deadly intent.
With a deft manipulation of his newfound power, Rain set the giant monster into a relentless and deadly motion. The sea dragon began to spin violently, which made the ice blades slice through everything around, including several sea dragons on their way with unstoppable force.
Rain's control over water magic and his mastery of this newfound power were mesmerizing, and he used it to unleash a formidable assault upon the sea dragons. The creature's immense size and strength were no match for the precise and lethal manipulation of water magic that Rain had achieved. It was a breathtaking display of magical prowess and a testament to the limitless potential hidden within him.
The sea dragons on the way were ripped to shreds, and their escape didn't slow down even a bit… although Rain and Seadir felt like throwing up thanks to the spin and the fact that they were dealing with different pressures in the ocean waters.
The Horsemanship skill has leveled up.
The Ice Seal skill has leveled up.
An unknown skill has leveled up.
…
Somehow, they eventually reached the surface without slowing down… Rain made the sea dragon keep spinning for a while until the momentum stopped, and then he freed himself and then pulled Seadir and Seadrei from the sea dragons mouth.

When the monster began to fall, Rain used the giant ice blades to finish off the creature and then he began to fly toward the coast as fast as he could on an ice chamber…
Thanks to the surge of mana, Rain wasn't worrying about running out of it, but even though he did some tests before, he didn't think that such a thing would happen… his skin was burning since he was using more mana beyond his limits. Fortunately, the first seal was healing him as fast as the damage was spreading.
The technique that Rain just used was something that he came up with Terra when she learned how to use delayed Heal. Rain knew that the other coral spears granted Seadrei a crazy amount of power, and he had thought of ways to replicate that… he was unable to copy him, but he was able to do something else…n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
While using the same theory of the Active Healing technique, Terra was able to heal Rain no matter where he was. Her mana would be drained automatically when the first Seal was off. Still, that technique only worked when Rain undid the first seal, and it could only work when Rain was fighting to help someone else.
At first, the technique didn't work, but when they put such restriction, the technique began to work because the caster and the user needed to show that much determination to make their mana work like that… that was a huge discovery for them, since it implied that mana was a lot more complicated than they imagined.
"... Ugh, what happened?" Seadir asked while he was groaning and his eyes were spinning.
"We all died and we are on the way to the afterlife," Rain said while he was looking around and seeing that they were too high in the sky for the sea dragons to see them. "Second Seal, On. First Seal… On."
Rain sighed in relief… he had been training hard to get used to that technique, but it was hard, even though it made him a lot stronger. He suddenly felt a powerful wave of exhaustion and he felt like he needed to sleep like never before, but he had to focus on the mission.
"We should be safe now, use the spear to have better control of your magic and help your father," Rain said while rubbing his eyes.
"... You somehow pulled off," Seadir said when he finally recovered from the dizziness, and then he began to look around in confusion. "I felt Seara's presence at some point here. Where is she?"
"If you were able to feel that the technique needs some improvement… Hopefully, she is at home," Rain said while imagining that people might be able to understand the technique pretty easily at that rate.
The second seal made Rain gain a massive amount of mana, but he could only use water magic since it was Seara's specialty. At the same time, the condition to use her mana was to fight for his family… maybe that was why he was so tired. Technically, Seadir and Seadrei weren't Rain's family, but maybe he was just being bashful.
In any case, Seadir hesitated in using the emperor's spear, but it was to help his father, so he couldn't waste any time. Seadrei was still unconscious, and all that movement should have been bad for him as well.
Regardless, despite his lack of confidence, Seadir was able to expel the poison from within his father's body by also controlling the water in the cells. He also had pretty good control, and there were no after-effects or clear signs of him messing up.
Little by little, Seadrei's condition improved, but he probably will need to be healed by a true professional after the poison is dealt with. At the same time, Rain had to make sure that Seara won't have to worry for long… so, they had to go home first and foremost.
What do you think?
