" I have seen it with my own eyes! Why don't you believe me?" Her brother told their parents everything but his father seemed hesitant to accept the truth.

As the eldest daughter, Genevieve had always been exceptional and well behaved. How could he believe that she was having a relationship with a secret man much less that she also have a daughter?

" What's wrong with it as long as she is happy? I always thought that she would never find love but I guess I was wrong." Her mother was much more amicable toward the situation.

" You...I don't even know what to say to you. How old is our daughter? She is only twenty three! Do you think she could care for a child? Why do you think that she is hiding the truth from us?" Father was furious hearing her wife talk nonsense.

" Why else? She is just ashamed about it probably because she knows that you will not approve of it." She turned to her son and asked," What was he like? The man she was with?" She was much more interested in her son in law!

" I....I didn't get to see his face but he was tall and was driving an expensive car."

" He was not old right? I don't have anything against her being with older man but there shouldn't be much age difference. It could affect their future."

" I don't think he was old. I don't know."

" That's enough! I haven't given anyone permission to date my daughter. If he really is involved with her, I want to meet him face to face and ask why he never tried to meet us and ask for our blessings."

" Honey, I don't think kids are that old fashioned, these days all they care about is love for one another."

" I don't care. I did not approve of him. What if he is forcing the child to stay with him and blackmailing my daughter to do his bidding? I have to meet him and that's final!"

Seeing her husband's stubborn face, she knew he wasn't going to budge but at least he didn't seem to hatr the idea of having a granddaughter which was a plus.

If he dared to do something to her daughter, she would simply come to her defense. Her husband might run the business but the household matter belonged to her, she wouldn't have him doing anything foolish!

After having their little meeting they went out to see the guard still sitting straight looking around the place. They let him be for now and headed upstairs only to hear loud laughter from the room.

After knocking on the door couple of times, the father took the lead and entered the room. By now, Elise had already calmed down and was running around with Genevieve and others as she was explaining the place she spent so much time since she was a kid.

The upper floor was a rest area for staff who were mostly family members but the walls were filled with pictures. There were many photos from Genevieve's childhood which Elise was curious about so she would repeatedly asked when was it taken and the circumstances surrounding it.

Her father looked at the scene and suddenly broke into a small smile, he knew his daughter was good with kids but seeing her patiently explain everything did leave him with a sense of guilt in his heart.

Lilly who was quietly sitting on the sofa noticed the new people entering the room. Just by seeing their faces, she knew the prank was getting out of control but she didn't want to take the fall for their foolish actions.

She stood up and introduced herself," Hello, I am Lilly, the stylist, the one responsible for them for the upcoming fashion week."

" What? What fashion week?" Her father blurted out before composing himself since she was a stranger before saying," I am Maurice, Gennie's father."

" I am Virginia, her mother. Did she really get the job?" Her mother seemed to know more about it. Lilly immediately understood Genevieve hadn't laid out her true plans in front of her parentsn/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

" You know about this?" Maurice turned to ask his wife to which she replied," Why do you think she took a week off so abruptly and has been hanging out with those girls? They were planning something but I didn't know they would succeed."

Virginia didn't know much about models, but she was aware how hard ot was to climb that social ladder. Maurice on the other hand listened to both his wife and Lilly's explanation with a grim face. Anyone could tell he didn't see such a career in good light.

He was old fashioned but the slow and steady change due to introduction of smartphone and technology didn't go unnoticed. People used to talk and smile to one another now every young person that he saw in thenstreet had their head down, glued to the small screen.

Not to mention the horror stories that he heard in passing. Without proper support he knew their pursuit of their dream would end badly, he didn't want her daughter to be exploited.

Meanwhile Thierry, Genevieve's young brother was busy chatting with Alana. He was a little disappointed not finding Helga because he had a massive crush on her since he met her.

Her ethereal beauty, with skin like first snow made a striking contrast with her dark hair, their groups turned head wherever they went but even among them, Thierry was found Helga most attractive.
