AI Doctor : From Slave to Beast King

Chapter 107: Universal Blood Type

Damien glanced at the three adventurers and crouched down. He told Dan, "Assess their conditions and tell me their stats."

"Right away, host," Dan agreed as he flew over to the three adventurers and, with a pondering look, started assessing their conditions. His little hand rested on his chin as he continued to do so.

After two minutes, multiple screens appeared in front of Damien depicting the health status of the three men.

The bone alignment of Willie's foot was disturbed. He didn't look good with the continuous blood loss, and the other two were the same; one of them had their arm snapped off, and only a little skin and sinew were holding it together.

And the other one had a deep gash on his abdomen.

As for the blood loss, it was better to not even start on it, as the three men had lost quite a generous amount of it, and to make things worse, neither of them was from the same species.

Damien pursed his lips after he finished reading the stats.

This wasn't good, thought Damien as he stopped reading the information written on the screen and turned his attention back to the three adventurers.

"Dan, is there a way to perform a blood transfusion without the necessary blood type?" Damien asked. They were stranded in the middle of a forest; where was he supposed to get his hands on a gorilla, a tarantula, and a fox?

And even if he somehow managed to find these three beast types, would these three men be able to wait till then?

It was better to think of another alternative!

"Hmmm," Dan mused. "There is indeed a way."

"What way?" Damien asked with an eager voice.

"You can turn your blood into an omnipotent blood type," replied Dan, and Damien immediately understood what the AI system was telling him.

"Like a universal blood group," he asked, and Dan nodded.

"That's right. It will be much better to have your blood changed into a universal blood type," explained Dan. "The beast world is different from the human world. The last time you got lucky, the man who needed the blood had someone born from the same tribe and species. There were slight complications, but it worked in the end; however, you cannot start a blood donation camp, can you?"

"So it's better for you to use a special skill and change your blood type into a universal blood donor, like the O blood group in your world."

Dan paused and added, "As the blood that flows in your veins is that of a dragon, I believe that it should work."

"Then what do I need to do?" Damien was willing to take the risk as he wished to save as many lives as possible. How many lives have been lost due to lack of blood? It was better to turn his blood type into a universal one.

But soon Damien found that there was a problem with what Dan said; he was just one person... How could he take out so much blood to save the three men?

If he donated so much blood, wouldn't he be the one who had to lie down and recover for three days and a week?

"You don't have to worry, host," Dan said with his arms spread wide like a child, telling him that he had won a prize in the games. "I have just the thing to make your blood universal."

"Really that's—" Damien paused and narrowed his eyes suspiciously while looking at Dan. "Why didn't you give it to me back then? What's the catch?"

"There is no catch," Dan shook his head. He said to Damien, "The points that you earn are like little chunks of mana. The more mana you earn the more Dan can create new rewards and skills to aid you host."

The reward was indeed tempting but Damien had a feeling that there was something terribly wrong with what Dan said.

But when he thought about the threatening condition these three men were at that moment, he gritted his teeth and agreed.

"Very well," Damien said. "Give it to me."

Dan smiled before snapping his fingers. A small packet that resembled a powdered drink appeared in front of Damien. He caught it in his hands and looked down at the packet.

"What is this?"

"Don't question anything, just drink it," Dan said to him.

This only made the alarm bells in his head ring even more harshly. He looked at Dan who looked back at him, Damien was certain that there was something wrong with what the AI system was asking him to do.

But he still tore the packet open and poured it in the vial of bottle that he was carrying with him.

He moved the bottle two to three times in an anticlockwise direction before lifting it to his lips.

It just tasted just like how it looked—orange juice. Almost immediately, a warm sensation spread through his limbs. It was pleasant at first, but then it turned painfully hot, searing as if his insides were being cooked.

He doubled over, and the flask fell from his hands. "What kind of thing did you give to me?"

"Don't worry, host," Dan said. "The pain will pass; you just need to hang on a little more."

Damien felt like Dan was asking for a bit too much. His entire body was shaking, and he felt the jitters so hard that he was sure his bones were quivering.

"O' great one! Are you alright?" The healer rushed to where Damien was crouching.

Damien tried to tell him that he was alright, but the pain was simply excruciating. It nearly made him black out.

However, after three or four minutes, his insides that were bubbling hot started to cool down and by the time the sensation completely stopped Damien heard a ding go off in his head.

[Congratulations! You have unlocked universal blood type.]

'Fuck your mother,' that was the last thought Damien had as he slumped on the ground.
