Chapter 104: Inferiority
There was a reason why this mole rat had a price of 2.3 million gold coins placed on his head. And that was —its tail.
Damien dodged to one side when the mole rat aimed its tail at his head. If he was not careful enough then that thing would have taken his head off.
[Disemboweling Poison.]
This thing's poison was not the usual kind. One touch was enough for it to melt off the flesh of its prey, if one wasn't careful enough then they would seriously get hurt.
'Fortunately, I know just the thing to get rid of it,' thought Damien. He clenched the vial in his hands tightly and absorbed the slightly brownish liquid. With his absorbing skill, it didn't take long for Damien to infuse the pest repellent that he had created for this monster.
Ginger and Castor oil.
As castor oil was a medicinal oil, Damien used a few points to purchase it, and ginger could be found anywhere. They together created a scent that was fatal to mole rats, though this was not one of those cute mole rats… Damien's skill was not simple either.
He charged at the Decaying mole rat and summoned the disinfectant spell. The brownish-golden fumes rose from his fingertips and then covered the mole rat that stood in front of him.
Once the speed of the mole rat slowed down, Damien unsheathed the Waterblade.
"Now! Xavier!" Damien infused his mana in the sword, and three seconds later, a blade made from water itself appeared. Though the blade was made from water, Damien knew that it was sharp enough to cut through the hardest object.
He raised the sword with both of his hands and then aimed it right at the head of the decaying mole rat.
On the side, Xavier also slashed his claws at the hind legs of the decaying mole rat.
SCREEE!!!
'What the…' Damien's eyes widened when he realised what the monster was doing. He turned to one side but the monster was faster, its tail whipped Damien across the waist.
"Argh!" Damien grimaced in pain as he fell to the ground and rolled to one side.
"Lord Damien," Xavier called out.
"I am fine," Damien gritted his teeth as he pushed himself off the ground. He glared at the monster and clenched the sword in his hand.
He didn't expect this thing to be so annoying.
Even after having his head smashed with a sword, it was still standing.
The two giant skeleton mole rats also turned to face Damien as if deciding that he was the bigger threat among the three men who were standing.
Behind them, Glen was still chanting the spells, but when he saw Damien fall to the ground, he wanted to rush over and help the person.
"O' great being! Shall I heal your wounds?" He asked worriedly.
"There is no need," Damien got to his feet as he swung his sword at the skeleton monster that snapped its teeth at him.
It was surprising that even without its eyes, the thing was really sharp at catching his moves.
"These damned things," Damien cursed as the two skeleton mole rats charged at him. If one was trying to bite his head off, the other was trying to take a chunk off his hand.
Seeing him being overwhelmed by those things, Xavier had to temporarily set aside dealing with the Decaying mole rat and rush to his aide.
HOWL.
Xavier let out a howl and then charged at the two skeleton beasts.
His claws slashed at the limbs of the mole rats, while Damien slashed his sword at the heads. The two were so engrossed in dealing with the skeleton rats that they forgot about the real thing.
The Decaying mole rat took advantage of their momentary distractions and charged at Damien.
"Ahhh!" Damien let out a scream of agony as he looked at the mole biting his arm. He raised his hand and released more of the pest repellent before pulling his arm away from the large teeth of the mole rate.
[Caution.]
[Abnormal condition.]
"You are losing too much blood, host," Dan said. "Would you like to use your Vibrant Vitality?"
"Wait a bit longer," Damien suppressed the scream that was lodged in his throat. He could feel his arm almost on the verge of snapping in half and falling onto the ground. This damned thing.
It actually tried to cut off his dominant arm.
"It seems like you are quite smart. No wonder you are a rare monster," Damien muttered while eyeing the beast. He picked up the Water Blade with his left hand and clenched it with his fingers. "But what should we do? As a doctor, I can use both of my HANDS."
He charged at the monster and swung his sword heavily.
SCREEE!
The Decaying Mole let out a shriek as it raised its body on its hind legs and brought it heavily down. Damien rolled to the left while Xavier dodged to the right; the two charged at the thing together.
And it was then —
Ba dump.
Damien felt his heart skip several beats as the Waterblade in his hand turned into a normal sword. Even Xavier's pace slowed down, and his beast turned that of a half human and half wolf.
"This thing can actually use Inferiority," Xavier was half impressed and half annoyed. "It can suck the mana of a person," he explained when Damien turned to look at him with confusion in his eyes.
Good guy.
Damien cursed the monster beast as he sheathed his sword and took out a dagger. He looked at the decaying mole rat with a look of trepidation on his face.
"Quite smart, aren't you?" This monster used its ace skill at the right moment, such that Damien wouldn't be able to use his skills properly.

Damien charged in, his lips curled in a smirk as he opened [Eye of Observation] and at the same time summoned the pest repellent spell.
"I don't rely on mana to beat a dead rat's ass."
He twisted in the air before smashing the tip of his dagger right into the throat of the rat.
