With the enhanced perception he obtained after his class change to Wizard Apprentice, Rein could faintly sense the powerful physical strength contained within the armor of the four silver Knights wielding swords and shields.

Clearly, these four were not ordinary cavalry but genuine Knights who had stepped into transcendence.

Rein had heard from Hamilton that not only the Monsoon and Ocean Goddess Church but other churches as well referred to their transcendent Knights as Temple Knights, and those below transcendent were called Temple Guardians.

To eliminate the Evil Spirit Knight, would they dispatch four Temple Knights at once?

How powerful the Goddess Church must be!

Could there be another purpose, such as investigating the cause of the Evil Spirit Knight's appearance? Rein couldn't help but speculate.

Additionally, there were two formal Knights, dressed in relatively simple knight plate armor, and based on the crest on their chests, they seemed to be the guard Knights of some nobility, with one of them even equipped with the rarely seen round arm shield.

As Rein approached, he encountered many familiar faces of the Night Watchmen along the way, greeting each with a smile, and his Night Watchman comrades also responded with smiles and waves.

At that moment, Hamilton emerged, accompanied by two 'VIPs,' and from his slightly trailing posture, it was evident that these two held higher status than Hamilton.

One was an elder dressed in a water-blue robe with gold trim, holding a thick book; from his attire, he was evidently the leader of this mission from the Goddess Church.

The other was a middle-aged man with a handlebar mustache clad in Knight Armor, probably a nobleman, and the two Knights from before were likely his guard Knights.

Hamilton noticed Rein and Lagaray approaching as well.

Perhaps Rein was not so conspicuous, but Lagaray, as a rare 'female' and with the 'large shield' on her back, was quite eye-catching.

If this had been before, Rein, as a Night Watchman, would naturally not have had the chance to be introduced.

But today was different, as his advancement to transcendent at such a young age had earned him the privilege of being introduced by Hamilton.

"Viscount Lord, Reverend, this is Rein, also the Vice Officer of Public Security for Flashgold Town that you've just appointed," Hamilton said with a smile.

"Rein, this is Lord Hamadi Viscount, the Chief of Public Security of the County Town, and this is Reverend Rudolph from the Goddess Church."

"Good day, Viscount Lord,"

"Good day, Reverend," Rein said with a slight bow.

At the same time, he was quite astonished internally—Chief of Public Security of the County Town? That was the superior of his own boss! He didn't expect that due to the Evil Spirit Knight, the latter would come in person.

When they heard of Rein's new position, elevated from Night Watchman Captain to Vice Officer of Public Security of Flashgold Town, his fellow Night Watchmen and the public security officers were momentarily stunned but then resumed their composure as if it was to be expected.

Some of the Night Watchmen even showed joy on their faces as if they shared in the glory, as if the promotion were their own.

Others whispered among themselves, seemingly explaining the situation to those who were not yet informed.

Rein's strength was one thing, but more importantly, despite his young age, Rein was quite skillful in interpersonal relations, humble, capable of fighting tough battles, and after several missions, many of his Night Watchman comrades held a deep respect for the young man.

For instance, during the extermination of the Evil Finfolk, Rein was assigned the heaviest task, blocking all escape routes for the dispersed Finfolk by himself. Even though there were more Finfolk than expected, Rein nonetheless managed to tackle the difficult challenge.

In the child rescue incident, it was even more apparent. Every Night Watchman involved in the mission gave Rein a thumbs up as he single-handedly took down several formidable villains and rescued more than twenty children.

This earned genuine admiration from the Night Watchmen who participated in the mission.

Without Rein, they didn't know how many might have died!

Lagaray watched from the side, a glint of admiration flashing in her eyes.

Although she had some understanding back in the training grounds, she hadn't anticipated that Rein's popularity among the Night Watchmen of Flashgold Town would be so high!

While Rein was chatting with the 'VIPs,' a pair of beautiful eyes watched him quietly through the window of a carriage not far away.

A few minutes before, Miss Jenny from the Crowley family was passing through the town's administration office in a carriage, heading south toward Rein's home.

Her mother, Lady Viscountess Crowley, had been urging her to communicate more with Rein and maintain a good relationship.

Personally, she also had a favorable impression of the somewhat handsome young man, but unfortunately, Rein had declined her mother's suggestion last time.

Ever since she found out that Rein was interested in spiritual texts, Jenny often visited her family's library.
