What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

Chapter 811: He's Down Here

The place that the ring pointed us to ended up being some noble's mansion just a short distance away from the palace.

When I said the guy was hiding under our noses… It seems like he really was quite literally under our noses…

I guess he thought that the most dangerous place would also be the safest place…

I looked behind me, seeing not only the Queen but also an entire company of Royal Guards all armed to the teeth like they were ready for war.

Then again, I guess this was exactly what we might be walking into if this guy also had the entire mansion brainwashed…

"So he's here?" The Queen asked.

I nodded, "The ring is pointing towards that direction so I can only assume so…"

The Queen nodded, "Unn… Now that I think about it, this makes sense… This belongs to a noble family named Tarbode. The current head of the family is a widow who lost her husband to a Dungeon and lives with just her servants."

"How does that make sense though?"

"She doesn't like Dungeoneers because she blames them for the loss of her husband but yet… A few weeks ago she suddenly gained interest in Dungeoneers and was even offering sponsorships for them."

"Maybe she got over her hate for them?"

"One of the conditions for her sponsorship was that the Dungeoneers had to meet her personally at her mansion."

I realised what she was hinting at.

I'm guessing that the Off-Worlder managed to control the noblewoman somehow and made use of her position to bring in Dungeoneers with skills so that he could control them too.

Instead of being like the other guy who was chasing after people with skills to slap that mask on them, this guy was making them come to him instead.

Damn… Talk about being efficient I guess?

"Do we know how many Dungeoneers did she 'sponsor'?" I asked.

"Quite a number I'm afraid… I think there were reports saying that she had sponsored over a few hundred Dungeoneers at one point."

Damn… That means we might really be up against an army…

I turned to look at the people behind us, "Do we have enough people to handle that many enemies then?"

Levianne gave me a nod of assurance, "Not all of them are here, Aster. It would undoubtedly raise some eyebrows if she started housing them as well so they don't normally stay here. If everything goes well, we will be able to take him down before this little army shows up."

Ugh… I hope so… But now that she's said it, that just feels like a flag…

Well, if anything happens, I have my own army as well so it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

What I'm worried about is how strong the person himself might be since he's controlling so many Dungeoneers which would have boosted his stats and abilities by quite a lot…

Pushing my worries aside, I led the way into the mansion grounds and walked right up to the door.

We weren't sure if the entire mansion had been taken over or maybe we were just completely mistaken from the start so we came up with a plan to check which one was the case here.

I raised my hand and knocked on the door before stepping back.

It didn't take long for the door to open a crack, revealing an elderly butler standing behind the door.

"Can I help you?" He asked, his eyebrow questioningly at me.

"Hello!" I greeted him cheerfully. "Is the Madam of the house in?"

"Who are you?"

"Oh, I'm from the Nilm Family and I have a message for her."

He narrowed his eyes at me, "Whatever message you have, you can just tell it to me."

"I'm sorry, but my Madam has insisted that it was for her ears only," I lied.

"You can tell your madam to come here herself then."

Ok, yep, that's all I needed to hear.

I raised my foot and kicked the door, the force of the blow sending the butler flying back and breaking the door off its hinges.

I leapt through the door to see all the other servants lining up the corridor, each of them wearing that stupid mask on their faces.

As I thought… There was no noble family here that would even dare to speak that way to Mother's family. This guy has no idea who we were.

Almost immediately, all the servants that had simply been standing at attention came to life and turned to face me at the same time.

Since I already knew that they wouldn't die thanks to the enchantment on the mask, there was no need to hold back for me.

That's why the first thing I did was to fire off a [Laser] that pierced through the bodies of the entire left half of the servants, causing them to turn into shadows and disappearing.

The right half tried to lunge towards me but the Royal Guards charged in at that very moment.

One of them bashed his shoulder against a servant and sent him flying back, the poor guy crashing into the rest of them and creating a pile up of bodies.

Levianne walked in casually after them, almost looking like she was just here to pay a social visit rather than participating in a raid.

Then again, the Royal Guards were doing a pretty good job at the moment so it's not like she even had to do anything in the first place.

With their swords drawn, they started dispatching the servants, breaking the masks when they could while cutting down anyone who proved to be too troublesome to do so.

Our main goal right now wasn't to save all the people who were under that Off-Worlder's control after all, so we could not waste time in breaking them out of his control and focused only on breaking through this crowd.

While the Royal Guards were dispatching the controlled servants with ease, I concentrated on the ring once again, putting the image of the bangle in my head to figure out where it was.

Hmm? Down?

Ahh… Typical… There must be some kind of secret room downstairs or something.

"Does any of the servants know the way downstairs?!" I shouted.

One of the servants who was recently freed pointed towards the back, "There's… There's a hatch in the kitchen that leads to the cellar."

Nice.

I went in the direction that the servant pointed out with several of the Royal Guards and the Queen in tow.

Sure enough, in the kitchens was a rather conspicuous wooden hatch on the ground near the back corner of said kitchen.

I went over to it and pulled it open, revealing a set of stairs that led below the earth and into the darkness.

Taking a moment to check that everyone was ready, I started my descent down the stairs, using a [Spotlight] to light the way.

The light was more for the people behind me than myself since I could see in the dark anyway.

I was a little wary of traps but it seemed like my fears were unfounded as we reached the bottom of the steps without anything happening.

We found ourselves in the mansion's cellar and it was obvious some remodelling had been done here recently since there were tools strewn about the place amidst the wine racks.

And sure enough, at the very back of the room was a large hole dug out from the wall that seemed to be a passage leading somewhere.

Checking on the ring, it was indeed pointing towards the tunnel.

Guess we're going in then.

I turned to the Queen, "Are you alright going in there with your dress?"

I was asking her that question because the Queen was still wearing that dress that looked really expensive and if she were to follow us through that tunnel, there was no doubt it would get smudged with the dirt from the walls.

The Queen chuckled, "It is just a dress, Aster. It's no big deal."

I mean… If the person herself says so…

It was only wide enough for one person so we had to move in a single file through it.

The passage was relatively short and we reached the end of it where it dropped us in a hollowed out cavern.

Sitting right in the centre of the cavern was a cloaked man who had a distinct bangle on his wrist.

No doubt about it, this was the guy.

When we entered, the guy slowly stood up and turned to face us, his face still hidden by the hood.

"I've been expecting you…" He started, his voice sounding a little deeper than natural. "... Is what I like to say. But you're here earlier than expected."

I gestured at him, "Are you trying to give some kind of villain speech because can we just skip that part and then get to the part where I beat you up."

He chuckled, "Ha ha… Oh you won't be beating me up at all."

I lowered myself into a combat stance, "And why is that?"

"Because I'm running away. Bye~"

A portal opened up underneath him and he dropped into it, teleporting him away.

What the hell?!!!
