Reborn in Naruto As Madara's Grandson

Clang…

Madara deflects a sword strike with his blade.

Whoosh…

He swiftly ducks down and dodges another slash from behind.

Swish… Swish…

Several kunais and shurikens target Madara from several directions.

Madara holds the sword in one hand and curls his other hand into a fist.

Bang…

He kicks away the second opponent after disarming him. Madara turns to the first attacker and strikes the latter's thoracic cavity with his first, tearing a hole through the latter's back. His fist is wrapped in a small amount of chakra.

Madara grabs the shinobi's corpse and uses it to shield himself from the several kunais and shurikens. After blocking the attack, he throws the body aside and turns his attention towards the rest of the earth shinobis.

Clang… clang…

Madara continues to trade blows using a combination of Kenjutsu, Taijutsu, and Bukijutsu. His superior combat prowess gives him an edge over a large number of enemies, and his heightened instincts help him avoid fatal strikes.

Madara's eye moves to and fro rapidly, tracking enemy shinobi's every movement and counteracting them with frightening precision.

For a moment, Madara alone faces over ten elite opponents at the same time and comes on top, despite being unable to infuse too much chakra.

On a high platform made of earth wall,

"This… this is insane! We underestimated him."

"The rumors aren't exaggerated. He is still this strong despite being unable to infuse chakra?"

Cold sweat trickles down the spine of the Earth shinobis. A group of earth shinobis and members of the Kamizuru clan observe the battle from a high vantage point. The thick poison mist is unable to hinder their sight.

"What is the meaning of this?"

The deputy chief turns to another person beside him and grabs his neck.

Shiing…

His arm turns into a sharp purple crystal dagger that he points towards the man's neck.

"Are you sure Madara is drugged?"

He points towards the small amount of chakra wrapped around Madara's palm and his activated Sharingan.

"Any lies and you will know the consequences!"

The tip of the crystal dagger grazes across the neck of the man. Blood leaks from the wound on the man's neck.

Gulp…

The man gulps his saliva in fear and opens his mouth with a stutter.

"Ah… Sir… I… I don't know. We were very meticulous in drugging him. It is even a new type of drug from the Land of Medicine that is odorless and tasteless."

"The drug is working just fine!" Just when the deputy chief is about to vent his frustration on the poor man, the chief earth shinobi interrupts him.

"Hmph!" The deputy chief snorts and lets go of the person.

The poor man is the inn owner and their secret agent to collect information and perform spy and assassination missions.

"Then how can he fight like that?" The deputy asks with slight frustration. He throws the man aside.

"It's his superior combat prowess and almost perfect chakra control." The chief shinobi mutters in astonishment.

"I have never seen someone with such honed senses and battle instincts. Madara… he… he is like a god of war."

The expression of his allies turns ugly after hearing the chief shinobi's evaluation.

"God of war? Hmph… let's see how he fares against my crystal release!" Both of the deputy chief's arms turn into crystal spears.

The chief glances at the hot-tempered deputy chief shinobi and shakes his head.

"My high evaluation of Madara doesn't mean he is invincible. We still have an advantage, especially when he is drugged and is unable to use Ninjutsu. Gradually, he will exhaust himself and we will be able to easily deal with him. But…"

The chief shinobi's eyes narrow and he turns to the cloaked figure standing silently beside him with a Ram hand seal.

"How long do you plan to let us wait? We are taking a huge risk by altering our plan. I don't want to needlessly sacrifice my people. You better make your move soon and immobilize him or I will kill you right now to exact caution."

"Give me five more minutes!" The cloaked figure speaks in a hoarse voice with a frown.

"I need some time to infuse enough chakra to cast my technique."

"Three minutes… that's all I will give to you." The chief shinobi pulls out a heavy rod, his weapon, and leaps in Madara's direction.

"Keep an eye on him for me!" The deputy chief mumbles these words to another earth shinobi beside him and also dashes towards the battle.

While running, several crystal fragments gather beneath his feet, forming a massive crystal dragon as he runs forward. Soon, the man rises into the air while perched on top of the crystal dragon's head.

The chief shinobi also drags his heavy rod along the ground while sprinting forward. An armor of earth layers his body and his footsteps leave dents on the ground.

The heavy rod in his hand smashes into the ground and tears a small gully in the ground, pulling a large number of rocks and debris towards it, creating a massive earth hammer on its end.

Madara, who is battling against more than ten opponents, suddenly feels a powerful and murderous chakra rapidly approaching him.

Clang…

Madara counters the sword strike of an earth shinobi on his left side and leaps out to break free from their encirclement. However, a massive earth hammer greets him as soon as he breaks free.

BANG…

A cloud of dust and debris rises as the massive hammer strikes the ground.

Rumble… Rumble…

A powerful shockwave travels through the ground and even the surrounding earth shinobis are sent flying. The powerful attack shatters the pavement of the street and leaves an enormous crater on the ground. Several cracks spread outward from the center of the impact and even reached the nearby buildings. The deafening sound of the explosion rattles the nearby shinobi's ears.

The chief shinobi, however, frowns, and quickly tilts his head sideways to dodge an attack.

Whoosh…

Suddenly, a blade infused with chakra flies out of the dust cloud.

Swish...

The blade grazes past the chief shinobi's cheek, peeling off a layer of skin and slicing his ear.

The chief shinobi takes a cold breath and wipes the blood. Cold sweat appears on his back. Soon, the earth armor covers his face thus encasing his entire body.

"You are quite agile for someone of your size." Madara's voice echoes in the chief shinobi's ears. He is casually sitting on top of the massive hammer while holding another blade in his hand.

"I don't need chakra to deal with a bunch of weak shinobis like you," Madara remarks

The chief shinobi ignores Madara's demeaning words and picks up the massive hammer. He swings it horizontally in a sweeping motion.

Bang… Bang…

The hammer demolishes several nearby buildings. Madara leaps in the air to dodge the swing.

"Got you!"

The deputy chief uses this opportunity to attack Madara.

Swish… swish…

The massive crystal dragon opens its mouth and fires several crystal shards towards Madara.

Peng… Peng… Peng…

The crystal shards rain down in an area and destroy the roofs and walls of several houses.

Ding… Ding… Ding…

Madara uses his blade to block and deflect the shards. However, as soon as the shards touch the blade, the blade starts to crystallize.

Madara frowns and lets go of his sword. He dodges and grabs a kunai with a paper bomb and throws it towards the crystal barrage.

BOOM…

The force of the explosion shifts the trajectory of the crystals. The crystals rain on the nearby buildings and the ground.

Hmm…

Madara notices the rapid crystallization of objects with his Sharingan and frowns.

'This is troublesome. I can't allow these things to even graze my body.'

Using the cover of the explosion, Madara escapes the range of the crystallized structures.

"I won't let you escape!"

The massive crystal dragon chases after Madara while rapidly firing the crystal shards at him.

Meanwhile, the chief shinobi also takes advantage of the opening. He places down the massive earth hammer and makes a series of hand signs.

"Earth Release: Muti- Earth wall Prison,"

Rumble… Rumble…

Several massive earth walls rise from the ground and block Madara's retreat.
